Renowned sculptors exhibited by O Art International. Unique and original sculptures of great masters, such as Leonardo Pereznieto and Francesca Dalla Benneta, are exclusively displayed at the gallery.
Francesca Dalla Benneta
Italian artist residing in Mexico, her work is characterized by anatomies and combined shapes: human faces and bodies are blended with textures and skins of various natures to breathe life to hybrids. Through these unusual, bizarre and surrealistic bodies, her work focuses on transformation, identity, belonging and communication among human beings, the universe and the divine, relating the contemporary world to the mythic and the primal universe.
Her shapes are an invitation to reassess the concept of beauty and values in general. She takes a distance from stereotypes to experience different thoughts and senses, and give the opportunity to debate new beliefs.
Francesca believes that the most important task of an artist is to stimulate a new way of feeling and thinking to eventually bring about a change on the audience. She mainly expresses herself through sculpture, since it is a direct language; it has no abstractions nor can be abridged. Sculpture is inevitably honest, sound; it hides nothing, it is the perfect tool to get to know others and oneself, a means to get in touch with oneself.
